| Description | I am getting a complete lock up after boot. Keyboard/mouse do not function. I know it is frozen because the time on lower right corner does not blink. CPU shows full usage(unable to check) what it is doing. Sometimes it will boot and show no icons on the desktop, other times the icons show but still freeze. Sometimes, after boot, I am able to move the mouse but when I try to launch file manager(the one with the nice gui). it freezes. Another time, I hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and it freezes. It worked well once and I played minesweeper and played some videos(slow playback). I thought I had corrupted something so I reinstalled but same problem. One recommendation is maybe to display some debug info in a window(that can be closed or not ran depending on config file) such as what functions are being called. This will potentially help users report bugs better. I don't think users will not mind because this is such an experimental OS. Another thing, it seems my problem is some sort of infinite loop. Perhaps add some code to monitor for such loops...a counter. Once you exceed a predefined number of loops, break out of it and reset the state or something. | ||||

You specified version 0.7.7.0. Please, try to reproduce this issue with nightbuild from http://builds.kolibrios.org/ There is an option on blue boot menu (c) to duplicate debug output to the screen. |
